Sleeping Kids and Fruit

January 30th, 2012

A bowl of strawberries and blueberries seems to knock a girl right out!  Yup, that’s our Sydnie, laying in our bed on Saturday night watching Megamind, eating strawberries and blueberries.  FAST ASLEEP!  Yup, she fell asleep in the middle of eating and this is how her brother found her.  :)

HOLY SWEETNESS!

August 19th, 2011

My feelings might be swayed by blood. Blood relations that is. These are my nieces. My BEAUTIFUL nieces and their dad. Blue eyes run in the family (thanks to my mom), but THESE blue eyes are exactly the color my moms eyes were. When I look at the three of them, I see my mom staring back at me. There is so much love here – they just ooze love! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. To my brother, “Thank you for putting up with me. I LOVE YOU. You are an amazing dad with two AMAZING daughters. You done good!”

2011 MLS All Star Pregame

July 30th, 2011

It was such an exciting night for our son. He had been picked to be a player escort for the 2011 MLS All Star game. While on our way to the game, he said “Mom, who is the US All Star team playing?”. “Manchester United”, I replied. “OH, NO! Who am I going to root for now?!?!?” Our son LOVES the US team and he LOVES Manchester United. It was a difficult dilemma for him. But, I think he figured it out once he was in the locker room.
The experience for him was life changing (yes, at 6, there are life changing events). He’s already asked his dad if he can come back as a player escort until he’s 11 (the cut off age). AND, he’s also said he’d wait 2 years to do it until his sister is 6 so she can do it too. I just LOVE this little guy.
We had a great night. He never stopped talking – well, he did. During the last 10 minutes of our car ride home when he finally passed out. It was 12:35am.
Enjoy!

Two men parachuted into the Stadium.

The kids all lined up. Braeden is way over on the left. He escorted Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira, best known as Anderson

Here he is – 4th in from the left

There was one causality of the night….

But that was ok……this was the outcome of the causality. Got a ball for Braeden.

And for those that might be interested in seeing him from the live coverage on tv…..

Cuteness Galore | New Jersey Photographer | Children

June 9th, 2011

Wow, WoW, WOW! I thought MY kids had blue eyes! Little L has THE bluest eyes I have EVER seen! Just over 1, he is so super sweet! We headed to the beach where we not only discovered it’s the same area his mom and dad had engagement pictures taken, but we found out that he does NOT like his feet in the sand and he is NOT a fan of the water (something his mom is going to work on this summer)! I had a lot of fun with L and his mommy – watching the birds, playing in the sand and laughing. I can only hope to see this family again in a few short months when L’s little sister arrives :)

Pure Beauty | New Jersey Photographer | More Than Yesterday Photography

May 22nd, 2011

Such a special occasion and such beautiful families.  I had the pleasure of photographing the S family back in November and then a couple of months ago, they reached out to me and asked if I would come and capture their daughter and her friend after they made their first communion.  I was so honored.

The girls are just stunning.  Their dresses just beautiful.  They families glowing with happiness and love.  I had so much fun with everyone – Here’s  just a sneak peek :)

Thank you Lori for thinking of me.  I can’t wait until the party!

FixitFriday!

April 22nd, 2011

That’s right – it’s another fix it Friday from iheartfaces- week #95.

This photo was just too cute to resist.

This is the original photo (SOOC) that was so graciously shared by Dana Suggs of Dana Suggs Photography.

Photobucket

Here is my Edit and how it was handled:
1- Opened in LR3 and increased exposure slightly
2- Opened photo in CS5
3- Used Coffee Shop – Baby powder room to adjust the eyes and slightly soften the skin
4- Used Coffee Shop – Redness Relief and masked on the nose and cheeks to remove some of the red.
5- Pioneer Woman (PW) Fresh & Colorful
6 – Color balance layer where I adjusted the yellow, greens and red
7 – Curves Layer
8 – Photo Filter layer (Warm)
9 – Another Photo Filter Layer adding magenta this time but masking off of the face
10 – Cropped to a 4×6 and then did a Free Transfom on the right sided of the photo to change the layout
11 – Content aware to remove the leave in the foreground and then cloned out the rest of the leaf and cloned her jacket
12- Pioneer Woman – Bring on the eyes
13 – Added Texture – Everyday Textures “greenland” at 26% and masked off the child.
14- Pioneer Woman – Slight Sharpen

Photobucket

From there, I used Pioneer Woman’s B&W Beauty

Photobucket

And then I added a curves layer adjusting up the red and then added a warm filter at 44% opacity for the edit below.

Hope you enjoyed my FixitFriday – come back again and visit!

Fun With Friends

April 22nd, 2011

Today was a great day.  Spring break week for the kids and today my best friend and her boys drove down to spend the day with us. The kids had so much fun. It’s amazing how well they got along! Here’s a before/after shot that I combined 3 photo’s (the top 3) to get 1 final result (bottom picture) of them all looking at the camera – eyes open and NO funny faces.  I’ll post all the funny face pictures soon.  They had soooooo much fun.  Miss you already “B” family!  Love you guys – MTYBLTT – Hugs & Kisses!

iheartfaces – April 17 – Wind theme

April 17th, 2011

I just LOVE iheartfaces.  I’ve followed them for some time now – I partake in “Fix it Friday” and I love to see everyone’s submissions to the weekly photo contest. This weeks contest was  WIND.  I immediately thought of this picture I took of our sweet little Ms. S late in the evening on the beach in September.  We went to the beach to fly kites – the wind was so strong that it was nearly impossible to fly a kite.  Instead, the kids went crazy in the sand. This is exactly how she is.  Wild and crazy at home.  Always making us laugh. I love how the sand just drips off her body and her hair is wild.  Even her tongue hanging out of her mouth! We love our late summer jaunts to the beach!
